Why Experience Matters for Belmont
When my first daughter was born, I was working full time while completing my MBA at night. By the time I received my diploma from Admiral Mike Mullen, then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, I was pregnant with my second daughter while my husband was launching his first startup.
That chapter of life taught me a great deal about focus, resilience, and teamwork. I learned how to prioritize competing demands, work through complexity without losing sight of the goal, and keep moving forward even when the path was difficult. It also deepened my appreciation for my husband’s unwavering support and for what it takes to build something meaningful together.
Those lessons stayed with me throughout my years in public service and clean energy, helping organizations navigate difficult issues, manage resources responsibly, and make informed decisions. They are a big part of why I’m running for Belmont City Council, District 3.
Belmont benefits from the experience and dedication that its leaders bring to public service. As the city faces important decisions about infrastructure, public investment, growth, sustainability, and the quality of life residents value so deeply, we need leaders who ask good questions, weigh tradeoffs carefully, bring people together, and follow through when the work gets hard.
This city has been shaped by the commitment of many people who care deeply about Belmont, and I want to build on that work with steady, thoughtful leadership focused on the future.
I’m excited to continue this conversation with the community as the campaign moves forward.
